House and Grounds
River Rock Retreat includes a modest two-bedroom, two-bath 850 sq. ft. house, as well as an optional one-room guest cottage with half bath. The main house features a fully equipped kitchen, DVD/VCR for movies, propane grill, and laundry facilities. Both buildings are air-conditioned, smoke-free, and have carports. Generally, pets are not allowed indoors. However, exceptions may be considered for some dogs; please inquire.

Sleeping accommodations in the main house consist of a queen-size bed in the master, a twin bed plus a set of twin bunks in the second bedroom, and two pull-out queen futons in the living room. The cottage has one queen bed and one twin bed. Linens are not provided. We will supply pillows and blankets, but you'll need to bring sheets and towels.
The grounds include several fruit trees, a small patio, and a large lawn with a hammock. You'll enjoy open views of the surrounding mountains throughout the property. Walk a hundred yards across the lawn to the knoll overlooking the river, then down to the creek and private swimming hole. About two hundred feet downstream is the confluence of Hayfork Creek and the South Fork of the Trinity. Feel free to walk downriver (you'll have to get your feet wet)-since there is public easement along the shore of all federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers.
